Introduction:
A crisis is a sudden, complex and negative situation that leads to uncertainty and demands that leaders take decisions and actions within a short time frame; effective crisis management helps organisations prepare for a crisis when it hits, maintain business activity as far as possible and to recover from the crisis itself.

Objectives:
The course has the following objectives:
1. To understand what makes a “crisis” and the characteristics of the different forms crises can take.
2. To be able to utilise all stages of crisis management.
3. To understand the role that planning and prevention have in crisis management.
4. To develop the communication skills necessary for managing in a crisis.
5. To advance leadership in crisis situations.
